The RoS picture exhibits the tonal and color depth when I'd expect to see
from Velvia or in a pinch from the E-1. It's MUCH easier with film, but the
E-1 seems to do it better than the average digital bear.
On a related note, I reprocessed about 30 pictures from the Isle Royale
workshop and posted them up on FB. I used ONLY Olympus Studio to do it using
ONLY settings available in-camera. No trickery of any kind. I've been
wondering where all the good colors went... I can't get anything like this
with the DMC-L1, that's for sure.
So, what I'm saying is: Jim, keep it up. You are smok'n the web with your
E-1 pictures! You aren't going to get any better with anything newer.
