One other more expensive solution is an A-S conversion. I recall a
similar thread in Feb. The double dove-tail results in no slippage at
all and the plates are all anti-twist.
The L-brackets are nicely designed and look like cam jewelry. The
generic bracket for OM though is a bit heavy and industrial
appearing--not the case for the 5D.
I think the link below is the conversion kit I saw. Surprisingly I
don't think there is a geared head A-S on the market--except perhaps
"The Cube." I would think there would be room for others
on the market.
A-S conversion and RRS L-bracket and I think you would be very pleased;
well the CFO might not be.
