I have a 410 and it's not jerky, but does tend to get a bit harder to turn
near the limits of its travel - I suppose it's worn in a bit as I've had it
for many years.

The plates I have grip well enough with Zuikos up to about 135mm, once I get
to 300mm I rotate the lens on its own tripod mount and with the bellows I
just rotate the body. Also no worries with the RB67 as I can just rotate
the back (RB). The RB67 is the only camera I use where I leave the QR plate
mounted to the body, these plates really are too big to be left permanently
on an OM or E-? body.
