I have been using GIMP for a while. Like it very much, but there is one thing
that irritates me...
I open the program, open a picture, work on it and then save it in a different
file, where the completed work stays. So far, so good...then I close the
picture and open another one. Work on it and want to save it in the same file
as the previous one. How come that GIMP does not direct me to the file where
the completed pictures are? It sends me to an upper level directory and I have
to dig down to the completed pictures file every time I want to save a picture?
Now I would understand this behavior if I were to close the program after
saving the first picture. I have been looking for a setting that would allow
me to tell GIMP "Hey, as long as this session is open, save all pictures in the
file where the first one was saved", but to no avail.
Anyone having the same problem?
Best
Boris
