  Thanks for the advice Greg. I've organized my collection in a similar
fashion. In a single folder I have sub-folders for each year, months, and
events. However I load the photos to these folders through the PE
organi(z/s)er. This works great in theory but my wife and I share this
machine and her folder architecture is, shall we say, creative. I have
created a back up file on a separate hard drive using PE which, from what
I've been reading, can be used to restore to the new version of PE. If done
correctly it should even recreate the original folder architecture.
