A friend of a friend of a friend had some family shots done by a photog who won
a portrait of the year comp. a few years back and trades on that. I saw the pix
- family in the park.
Thirtysomething couple, three kids about 6, 4 and 2. All a bit ordinary, but
the little kid looked a bit gormless in most shots and intellectually
handicapped in others - and these were the 'keepers'. And no, she isn't
challenged in any way, I'm told - she was just not smiling. Only had expression
in one shot.
The fee - $4.5K! The lure - one as a 16x20 on canvas, stretched. Mum is
delighted.
I suspect that half of us on this list, at least, could have done better given
a nice family and a sunny day.
Time to rethink the business plan?
