Hadn't thought about that. Esteemed Wife just bought a Nikon Coolpix midrange
P&S, and it gives the various aspect ration choices. I'll have to check and see
what the actual sensor size is, and whether 16:9 is the sensor size. I don't
think it is, but I don't know.
I do know my D3 will give me FX, DX and 4:5. I keep meaning to shoot some at
4:5 just for kicks, but I never remember when I'm actually shooting. I suppose
it's for portrait work.
