The "current dumping" of a Quad 405 is actually something else
altogether, and arguably a misnomer since the "dumped" current is
actually the output. It is a way of getting around the problem of
biasing a class AB output stage consistently in the face of changing
temperature rather than anything to do with improving damping factor.
