At 2x, my opinion is that the 38mm is a better performer than the 80mm
plus
close-up lens, but again, only if you can actually achieve an
extremely high
output quality due to all other factors being accounted for. Is this
with
an OM body, or digital?

I think with this project I will need to focus stack and use cross
polarization flash--it will be fussy but fun.
I had thought the OM TTL flash stuff I have with polarizing film from
Dean will work well. I may try it on the OM5DII as well but haven't
decided.
I may burn a bunch of film but that is fine.

I didn't realize I was that transparent. Yes, that is part of the
dynamic.
