Of course the human figure is depicted as slightly soft and out of focus - it's
an ironic comment embodied in the selective focus which represents the
alienation of a modern lifestyle within a harsh, natural environment -
emphasised by the barrier of the bench between them. It's further reinforced by
the rather pained expression of the girl, the awkward pose and the mutant 'dog'
attempting to escape the anomie.
Now that's how you justify your errors!
