I have both the S95 and XZ-1 in my bag at the moment (and a G12 and a Canon
1100D...)
I do like the adjustment ring around the lens on both. The S95 is soooo small
and the Oly takes the VF-2 finder so they're both quite nice.
The key for me is that while the Canon is f2 at the wide end and that's only a
fraction slower, the XZ-1 is f2.5 at full 4x telephoto but the Canon is 4.9
That makes the Oly much better for portraits.
The Canon has a 'Ring Function' button on the top which makes life a lot easier
- to shift the function on the Oly is harder. I haven't even found the ISO
change control on the Oly yet!
