For operation especially on tripod, agreed. On camera bag may not, I have
difficulty to put the 5D II with Zuiko 500 on my camera bag. The Sig 600
would be more difficult or I have to remove some partitions.

The Zuiko 500 is light and short, no balance problem on tripod either.

For me, it doesn't matter, I don't use filter not to mention filter for
telephotos and F8 is slow enough :-)
