Chris,
Relic Guitars are made by purposely putting fake wear
marks/rust/dents/gouges/cigarette burns/wrong hardware with the holes from
the right hardware/etc. on brand new guitars and then selling them for more
than a shiny new one.
In this case the M9 has been sanded down on the edges to give it the
appearance of years of use (like a battle horse black M3 might have).
Sad in both cases to me. But to each their own I suppose.
