I know. :/ It's certainly the downside of it. I've got the 21 and the 70,
both of which I got in decent deals. The I've the 35's predecessor (FA
35/2) which is also pleasent.
I will say that the current kit lens -- 18-55WR is an excellent beast.
Water resistant and optically excellent. I gave my copy to my dad as I
have the 16-50F2.8 (big but very pleasent).
http://the.earth.li/~paddy/cgi-bin/album.pl has altogether too many
photos in a confusing layout, but there're all taken with either the K7 or
the K20, and the afformentioned lenses.
