GX680: limited shift with 50mm lens, camera weighs nearly 10 lbs. Boris must
like to lift weights...and multitask.
Medium format and shift capability is pretty limited. Due to the smaller
sensor size of digital, many large format camera makers have been coming out
with what are basically medium format cameras with shift capability but the
cameras are very expensive and still rather handicapped in the field.
The Mamiya 7ii is a great camera but has limited close focusing and limited
long focal lengths. It is superb for wide to normal angle shots that will be
greatly enlarged.

If it were up to me, I wouldnt carry two rangefinders, I would get the GX680
as a back up for it is probably the ultimate film camera ever made, because
of its versatility.
