Yes, I'm envious, Piers! Not necessarily of the proximity of the distilleries
as I drink Scotch only rarely (but always a malt: I have Lagavulin, Aberlour
and Clynelish at the moment), but because of the scenery that is obviously
available to you.
When I learned to fly Jaguars, based at Lossiemouth, the distilleries were
convenient targets -- to simulate enemy factories. We used to use those in the
Spey valley, but also some on the Western Isles.
