I believe the FL-40 was originally designed for the IS-1000, IS-2000 en
IS-3000 series cameras. Functionality was continued in the E-10 and E-20
cameras and, I believe the c-5050

I have an FL-40. It was used with the E-10 and the E-20. I'm not certain
what other Olympus models worked with it. As a certified zuikoholic, I still
have a working E-20 in my Olympus gear. I occasionally use it as a
studio-based camera. It takes excellent photos.
