Great book. I do have it. I like it a tad better than the next
version I think it was my first purchase after joining the list and
it is probable you recommended it
then.

Oh, from the amazon link ran into a video of John Shaw. One thing in
common--"Never met a lens I didn't like." Well nice one anyway.

He covers numerous way of achieving the same magnification using tubes,
teleconverters, diopters, stacked lenses, all or some in combination,
etc, etc. They all seem to produce a different amount of light loss and
at times seem to violate the laws of optics. A good read.
