Curious! The former colleague who had the Imp (actually it was a
Californian, the coupe) as a fun car also had a Mark I 2.5PI as the
workhorse. He had been a development engineer at Rover, Solihull in Rover
2000 (P6) days, with tales of developing a 1750 version of the V8 P6B - by
disabling one bank of the V8! Got a brief look at the Rover mid-engined
three seater (Google "P6BS") as a result - a very attractive looking car for
the late 1960s, still on the road as a works taxi in the mid 1970s.
There, I did get you on to the 2.5PI....

Damn wish I new that in the 70's a pal had one and it was always in need of

This Fun is all missing with modern cars, luckily I have some motorcycles
and a landrover to play with ;-)
