there was a guy from the former mini BLMC works team that explained to me how
they managed to change the camshaft without taking the engine out... in less
than half an hour
They had to take the right front wheel off and make a hole in the inner wall...
then they balanced the car on a rotating support and presto access to the
flywheel and so on...
It was almost a trade secret...
The guy had a little mini specialised shop in Holland, sadly he died some years
ago
