I think I mentioned about a month ago having gone to Skaneateles Lake
with some friends to have dinner aboard a little cruise boat.
Skaneateles is one of the smaller Finger Lakes at 16 miles (26 km) long.
The cruise runs the full length of the lake and back. The dinner was
very good and was delivered to the boat after preparation by a chef at
one of the local restaurants. The wine was also very good and came from
one of the local vineyards that surround Skaneateles Lake
<http://www.anyelasvineyards.com/> and the other Finger lakes of New York.
The photo series starts out showing the approach to the lake by car from
the south. The village of Skaneateles where the boat is docked is on
the north end of the lake. We arrived well ahead of time for dinner so
had plenty of time to wander around the waterfront to see the pier and
boats as well as check out the old hotel and the memorial park which has
plaques covering the wars from the US Civil War through Vietnam. My
wife is the one in the white top and we both appear in 5497. There are a
few shots aboard the boat or from the boat. The one with the five
laughing women (who are unknown to me) was a birthday celebration but no
one had brought a camera. So I obliged (sans flash) and told them I'd
send them their photo. That and the following photos are shot at ISO
3200 and then some of them are pushed well beyond that. Pretty noisy
and not fixed.
Totally OT. Canyon 5D with Tamron 24-135/3.5-5.6 or Tamron
20-40/2.7-3.5 (especially as it got very dark).
