Uff, and here we are in the digital-everything-is-easy era...:(
Man, at times I long back to the days of Provia-100F or Provia-400F
and a VERY extensive set of OM gear, with the 4Ti + 2-13 screen; what
luxury we had! If only the storage media could keep up with modern
times, all would be fine again...
Anyway: I've made a first step in working towards your set-up: I went
(with a big feeling of nostalgy) through my Olympus closet, and dug
out the relevant flash gear I have; quite a bit it is; more than I
remembered, though of somewhat different types than I had initially
mentioned; here goes:
-1x T32 (I thought I had 2, but I was mistaken)
-2x T20 (this is where the above confusion came from: 2 T20s and 1
T32, not vice versa)
-1x T28 Twin Flash
-1x PBG2 (may be handy?)
-3x T20 autoconnectors
-4x regular table tripods
-1x "gorilla" table tripod (with wrappable arms)
-2x T-cord 2m
-1x T-cord 5m
-1x T-cord 0.6m
-1x T-cord 0.3m
-1x T-cord (coiled) 0.6m (w/o hot shoe connector)
-1x F-cord 0.6m
-1x F280
-1x set of OM flash filters
-1x flash extender
-2x lightweight video tripod that can be used for setting up the flashes
So, I'm now going to do a first try-out with the 2 T20s, hooked up via
the 2 2m T-cords to the multi-connector, with the flashes mounted on
T20 connectors on the two video tripods....
Almost eveything for a first try is there, except for... ....a hotshoe
T-cord. :(
I thought to remember I had one, but it's the F-cord instead.
So, this is where my efforts stranded for today, and effectively this
weekend. The good news: I gave a call to my good friend Jaap Korten,
and fortunately he found a spare cord! :)
He's sending it out on Monday, so I should have it on Tuesday, and
time permitting, I shall take a look at making the diffusers.
I may have a quick go at it all Tuesday night, but that is one of the
nights when I'm in sole charge of our little-un Giuliana until 22:00,
so I may not get around to it.
Definitely a fun project and the T20s may actually have some
advantages; they're propbably powerful enough, take less batteries,
and are more lightweight. If they can't cut it; I may have to opt for
a set-up of the T32 from one side, and the T28 twin from the other.
To be continued....
Cheers,
Olafo
