  And Oceola is buried just across the street from the church we attend
(Sullivans Island, SC). After he was captured, he was imprisoned at Fort
Moultrie for a time and it was fashionable for Charleston society people to
check him out of jail and take him to Balls and plays in the city. Curious.
He died of tonsillitis and was buried on the grounds of the fort. A few
years ago the Seminole Tribe sent representatives for a graveside
anniversary ceremony.
