I didn't know how to turn it off, so I let it do its thing. Or perhaps I
provoked it somehow. Anyway, it didn't hurt anything to let it work all night
for a few nights.
I don't have GPS coordinates nor track logs, so I don't bother with Places, but
Faces is actually pretty cool. Do you know how long it would take to keyword
50,000 images with the names of people in the photos? Given a representative
sample, Faces does a fair job of automatically naming people, and the tools for
manual naming (or correcting Faces mistakes) are pretty easy to use.
So now I have perhaps half my photos tagged with names that were not keyworded
before. Pretty cool.
