I suspect that the European system is best, now that the cost of calling
mobiles is decreasing; but we shall have to wait and see if roaming charges
go down enough. While I am in France, next month, it will cost me about
50c/min to make a call using my UK mobile (iPhone 4); whereas in the UK I
get 600 min/month (and 1200 texts!) for a fee of GBP20/month.
