And that is the subject of a huge lawsuit now. Internal memos have come to
light showing that tech support had been instructed to play stupid (ever been
on the phone with a Dell tech? That memo wasn't really necessary....) and say
that they didn't know anything about bad capacitors. Or to tell the user that
they haven't gotten any other calls about it, so they doubt there's a problem.
In short, flat-out lie and deny that the company was knowingly shipping bad
computers.
