Yup - I had a mitral valve repair (full zipper job) in Sept 2004 and I still
get those muscular-like pains after some types of exercise.

Agreed. When they discovered my murmur in 1997 I asked my cardiologist if
there was anything I should avoid? (thinking bungee jumping, marathon
running, etc) and his reply was "cardiac surgeons".
