I assume the 14-50 you speak of is the Panasonic 14-50mm f/3.8-5.6 
Vario-Elmar.  Why would you even consider this lens as anything to be 
compared against the OM Zuiko 50 at f/2.8 when the Panasonic is 
operating at f/5.6 at 50mm?  At f/5.6 the DOF is doubled over f/2.8. 
There are f/2.8 and faster lenses available for four thirds.  You just 
don't have comparable test conditions.  Furthermore, you are trying to 
defend four thirds against 35mm using a four thirds vs four thirds test 
in addition to incomparable lenses.  Doesn't make sense.
