Does anyone have experience, good or bad, with the Olympus RM-CB1 remote
shutter release?
I have one (actually 2) of the Olympus product. My experience in using it
for close-up work in nature and wildlife type work is that is you are not
careful, as I wasn't, you can step on the cord and break it off at the
camera. That explains why I have two. My solution, because for this type of
work, I you don't need a long cord is to use a rubber band to attach the
cord to my tripod head and then if the cord gets trapped beneath my knee, it
does get snapped off. Helpful when you are in a remote location and need a
cable release. Bill Barber
