Drupal is a powerful tool but has huge overhead and is generally a pain in the
ass to maintain, particularly as you add a lot of modules. It's useful if you
have a huge site, and multiple users administering it, but for a one-man-band
type of site, (even with a lot of pages) there's better solutions w/o the
overhead and security nightmares of drupal. Just standard PHP based
header/footer/navigation includes and whatnot cover the majority of building a
templated site. That said, Drupal is better than the security nightmare that
is joomla/mambo.
