That's a VERY nice write-up. I trust the film scans are not ICC
profiled to remove the spectral peculiarities. That would not fix the
purple issue anyway, I presume as if the film/sensor doesn't see it, it
doesn't see it. I gave a suboptimal explanation to a friend in
Baltimore with an E-510 who was singing the blues about purple
rendition and now I will send him to your article.

OK, I put up an article on this purple flower thing on www.zone-10.com.
When
you go to the second page of the article you will see comparative images
from multiple cameras and films. I know that describing in words is
sometimes not understood very well, so hopefully the pictures will tell
the
story better.
The E-1 colors of the flowers is the closest to reality, but is actually
just a hint too purple.
