Hi Bill
In a case of washing water, I'd have suggested an immediate agitated
soak in clean water followed by a couple of rinses, then a couple of
hours at 60C (140F) (e.g. the parcel shelf or dash of a car in Australia
in the daytime!). The trouble is that washing powder is often fairly
alkaline.
My suggestion is to give it an opportunity to dry, perhaps under a
little bit of heat, then copy any useful data off - then use it for
unimportant things...
