I'm sorry to hear of your "-itis" Jim, whichever it is. I have been going to
physiotherapists for over a year, including a week in a RAF rehab unit; that
was entertaining, I got fitter and the physios were lovely. But my latest
cure, and one which I think will do the trick, is a chiropractor. She is very
good with her fingers, she uses Arnica oil and she is very easy on the eye ...
She will give me exercises (S & M -- strength and mobility :-)) as well as
manipulation to solve the problem. She will also recommend ways to improve my
posture.
Finally, Tiger Balm ("Balsem Harimau") is excellent stuff, much better than
normal deep heat products. I use both the white (for inflamed areas) and red
(for tightened muscles -- very painful). I use both Arnica oil and Tiger Balm
and the results are good. However, diclofenac is also indicated at times ...
Good luck, old chap.
