I am glad Andrew knew the proper term "veiling flare" for the
"ghosting".
Not clear why that issue would improve with stopping down. Perhaps the
reviewer was
confusing separate aberrations.
The large rear element lenses seem to suffer most and perhaps a flat
rearword facing element is another issue
as AG hypothesizes. I recall the filter issue with sensors form a
thread last year or so. Also appears
the veiling flare is more of an issue on MFT than FF sensors---don't
know about MFT > FT but appears to be the case.
Seems the Z 200 f4 or F5 do nicely on MFT as well as FT as pointed out
by AG in the past. I would bet the CV 180
would perform nicely.
