A lot of cameras made since the late 80's have 1/8000 top speeds, and I
think Minolta made at least one with a 1/12000 speed. I've seen shots in old
old Nikon brochures when the N8008 came out (first camera with 1/8000
shutter) that stopped action of things that were as fast as that morter
shell likely is. So that's my guess, 1/8000. The shot is exceptionally lucky
though, you'd have to hit the button before it actually is out because of
the time lag on an SLR.
