I didn't read this press release closely before.  Canon is only 
admitting to vertical banding when the camera is set to sRAW1 or sRAW2 
which are reduced resolution settings of approx 10 and 5 MP.  RAW full 
resolution of 22 MP is supposedly unaffected.  This is supposedly now 
fixed with a firmware revision.  I guess CH would disagree.
