Under "Avoid at all costs" I see the e-film battery mentioned.
I received one with my E-1 almost 5 years ago and it still functiond flawlessly
although I feel it has a bit less capacity than the original battery. I
sometimes leave it in the charger overnight and have not had any problems so
far.
Just my experience.

Onderwerp: Re: [OM] Replacements for Oly BLM-1 Batteries
Martin has it right according to this page:
<http://t5r.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/e1/clonetests.htm>
The data is getting a little long in the tooth and the brands are what's
available in the UK and not necessarily Oz. But it's an excellent read
even if you can't get your hands on the recommended brands. There are
some warnings there about what's likely a fire/explosion hazard due to
substandard construction.
From the summary section
------------------------------------------
Overall winner - UNiROSS VB104295
Second place - Energizer OM-1
Third place - Olympus BLM-1
Fourth Place - Hahnel HL-M1 (note 1, 2)
Best capacity - UNiROSS VB104295
Best value for money - 7DayShop PS-BLM1
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Sterling Tek WT-BLM1 (note 2)
'WinTop' PS-BLM1 'Olympus' clone
e-Film (Delkin) PS-BLM1
'Cb' BLM1 clone
------------------------------------------
AFAIK, UNiROSS isn't sold in the US. But my second battery for my 5D is
an Energizer CR-590 which I've owned for over 3 years and it seems to be
going as strong as the Canon BP-511A that came with the camera. They
get roughly equal usage. But there isn't a great savings. The
Energizer is about $35 and the Canon original at B&H is about $50.
