Well, I have been led, really, Joel :-). I read with interest what Ken wrote,
that the Olympus software gave an altogether more pleasing image than his
alternative RAW conversion method(s). My experience was that the image was
more vibrant than the alternatives. Since I can make that happen easily with
Aperture or LightZone, I don't need to bother myself with a new way of working.
But I was interested to see that that is probably the result that my camera
(an E-420 in this case) was intended to produce.
I know that i'm a bit of a flibertygibbet when it comes to software: I have to
stop myself from jumping from one application to another. So this was my way
of making myself stick with what I have.
