Did you sample it, Ian? In my experience what the machines dispensed was
water, "voda", not "vodka". It makes no sense for it to have been vodka -
the constant refilling necessary would have been too much trouble!

When I was in USSR in the the mid 80's they had vending machines on most
streets dispensing Vodka they normally had a few little glass tumblers on
top of the machines, I guess the vodka sterilised everything I searched for
a photo of one which I am sure I took but couldn't find it.
