Alas, I hate to agree, but it seems to me that American Football has evolved
into a filler to separate clumbs of mind-numbing, albeit occasionally amusing,
commercials for beer so weak I wouldn't serve it to my worst enemy.
Went to a professional game once, Atlanta v. San Francisco, and in the stadium
it's even worse. Most of the time spent watching players stand around during TV
time-outs. Lots of time to drink weak beer and eat really expensive hot dogs,
though. All and all, I wouldn't spend the money to go see another one.
Sigh.
