If I can't stand anything touching the back of my knees, just figure about
anything so close to my eye!
I've always used my cameras (OM or otherwise) with my glasses on -- the
first case I _had_ to purchase a diopter lens was the Bessa R3A.

Not necessarily, the diopter knob is always a nice thing to have, in order
to get the most comfortable viewing distance.
