All these things do is close a switch, either manually with a push 
button or automatically with the intervalometer.  From whichever one you 
buy you just need to cutoff the plug, figure out which of the three 
wires is autofocus (so it can be ignored) and then solder the other two 
to a 3/32" (2.5mm) mono plug to go into a winder.  Looks like this:
