Not to deliberately cut Zone-10 out of the picture but when I bought my
V700 I bought it refurbished from the Epson store "clearance center" and
saved quite a bit on the price. The front panel clearly shows that it's
not new but it works as it's supposed to. Click on "scanners".

They don't have any V700s at the moment but you might check from time to
time. I keep looking for a good printer deal but the still don't seem
to come down to my price. :-)
I had been thinking of getting an all-in-one for the Florida place.
There are some all-in-one deals here (with free shipping) that make it
cheaper to get the whole unit than to buy replacement cartridges.
