You may wish to peruse the very detailed reviews at photo-i.
<http://www.photo-i.co.uk/Reviews/scanners_page.htm>
My personal conclusion from reading them was that the V750 offers little
or no practical benefit over the V700. YMMV
My own choice was to find a clean used Canon 9950F, Any inherent IQ
differences in the scans between it and the V700 are very subtle, but
the Canon handles more strips of film per load and has deep enough DOF
that all the fussing with little spacers for the film holders isn't
necessary. Nor is film flatness.
Although the 9950F scanner is discontinued, there is Vista compatible
Canon software for it, as well as VueScan.
The 9950F is darn good, although not quite as good as the film only
FS4000. All DPIs are not created equal, and 4000 DPI on the film scanner
manages to eke out a bit more detail than 4800 on the flatbed.
