Based on the "F.Zuiko" nomenclature, my guess is that this is either a
single-coated lens (despite the black-nose) or an early MC version. Judging
from the "blur index", it has all the characteristics of the earlier
single-coated lenses--very sharp in the center, poor at the corners. The
later version(s) of the 50/1.8 wasn't generally as sharp in the center, but
was pretty much uniform to the corners.
The 50/1.8 and 50/1.4 are lenses which I very much recommend the latest
versions of, in spite of the lack of chrome.
