If I was king of the world....
It's actually quite easy. I know that I can easily push the E-1 to 13x19
(with 2 inch border) without anybody knowing the difference, but beyond that
point it becomes very very subject dependent. So, as long as I stay below
the 13x19 size, I could run the E-1 indefinitely.
Unfortunately, that's not how the world works, but one more year--that's all
I ask is one more year...
Scanned 35mm film, with a few tricks-o-the-trade can be pushed a little
larger, and when pushed REALLY large take on an organic look which is
acceptable, as compared to an over-uprezzed digital image.
Honestly, by struggling with the E-1 files and finding workarounds for them,
I've been able to really address film scans better. My workflow for some of
them is not for the faint of heart, though.
