These products are a real crap shoot. There is a lot of junk out there,
caveat emptor. Here are my thoughts after getting an Aluratec 10.5".
-Don't get anything less than 10.5" I wish I had gone to 15"
-Don't get anything less than 1024x768. If it isn't stated clearly it
probably has a crappy resolution. Even if it specs 1024x768 or more the
actual unit shipped may be less so check when it arrives.
-Beware of the short squatty screens as they are useless for photos.
-Does anyone care whether it plays mp3's on tinny speakers? Annoying at
best.
-On board memory isn't important. I use a USB drive. Easier to load new
photos and holds hundreds.
-Wireless sounds appealing but at too steep a price.
-Why are much better decent budget monitors cheaper?
