Some of us are, Chuck. We had a few B-36s stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB
in the early 50s. They were involved in tests and modifications which were
done at the Wright Field side of the base, with a shorter runway. When a
B-36 was on final approach from the north, they passed right over the
administrative buildings where my wife worked. The noise was enough to
drive some newcomers under their desks.
