Jez, do you mean your watch hasn't an inclinometer built in?
What a shame!
Wikipedia writes:
"As of January 2009, almost all new mobile phones and digital cameras
contain at least a tilt sensor (sometimes an accelerometer) for the
purpose of auto image rotation, motion-sensitive mini-games, and to
correct shake when taking photographs."
So buy yourself a new phone, you will get a watch and a tilt sensor
for free.
