At work I've got a XP professional box, and the agency I work for has
installed Norton anti-virus products. Roughly four or five times a
day, a window pops up to tell me my virus definitions are out of date
and would I like to update? Never mind that I'm in the middle of
something and don't want the distraction. Did I mention how much I
hate, despise and loathe Norton? I didn't? Well, I do. <g> My Windows
XP pro machine at home has AVG Free on it, and it seems to work just
fine. I also have Windows Defender, which is okay, and I use the Mac
for all e-mail operations. And as I said once before, using the ping
sites on the web, I can't even be sure my Mac exists.
But then I'm not really sure I exist, either. Maybe more like a bit of
cosmic flatulence slowed down enough to form a Bob. Here today, back
to the radiation pool tomorrow. <g>
